In general such names don't go in EDICT; they go in ENAMDICT. I only
put confected names in if they are widely use. 投影麗 isn't really
used enough to add it.

And that is something that can be checked. There were lists of allowed
family names somewhere.

No such thing. There is a restricted set of kanji that can be used
in names.

I have access to some humongous lists of Japanese names, and 投影 is not
there.
