If the person is into SAP and working on SAP projects he is a sure
shot.
I feel sorry for the poor sap if he has only JLPT level 3 and is expected
to be able to use Japanese at work.

In India, no less.

I was under the impression India didn't allow importing workers except in very extraordinary circumstances.
