[takana] "photo-picture"

写真画 しゃしんが seems to mean a picture based on the (always?) digital alteration of a photograph. Anybody know a good name for
those in English?
私は写真画を使って彼の伝記を話した。
I illustrated his biography with some sketches.
Well if that's the meaning I'm not happy with "sketches" anyway. Easiest might be to pick one at random from photograph/picture.
Any other suggestions?
