Louise Bremner <trap_for_junk_mail@xxxxxxxxx> dixit:
Given the strict non-disclosure agreements I've had to sign recently,
I'd be suspicious of any translator who'd send out target and source
language documents as proof of recent work. (In fact, one agreement is
so strictly worded, and apparently backed with serious teeth, I'm not
even sure whether I can even hint that it exists.... Oooops.)
In my younger days I used to work for an organization whose
existence I was not supposed to reveal. Made for great responses to
the "what are you doing now?" sorts of questions.
Times have changed. That organization now even has a web site
stating its mission; something I'd have been burnt at the stake
for revealing 35 years ago (not that it was a real secret; the KGB
probably knew more about the place than I did.)
