I was going to say it's probably a part of The Man's plan to get people
to pay for ridiculously high-priced music. There's something
(suspiciously) odd about how music produced domestically (I'm referring
to Japanese release versions of foreign music too) is almost twice as
expensive as imported albums that were not intended for Japanese
distribution.
I think that's more believable than them trying to sell portable music
players. I mean, Sony can sell portable radios too, right. Well, I guess
radios are a bit cheaper than mp3 players these days.
