I said to my IME to spell いっかげつ and to my surprise it
didn't show 一月 but 一ヶ月. My astonishment is build
up on following bases.
1. I expected いっかげつ to be 一月 the same way as
いっぴき will be 一匹, with no extra "thingies".
So what did you expect いちがつ to be?
I'm sorry, i don't understand the question. Or rather
i do but i find it very odd for you to wonder that.
So, i'm guessing you try to tell med something and i'm simply missing it.
いちがつ = January
いっかげつ = One month
I believe that 一月 also has the reading ひとつき. However, I'm not sure
what contexts ひとつき is used in instead of 一ヶ月. Anybody mind
explaining that one?
