Sure it was. If someone is incorrect in a particular assumption (my
assumption being that the trip was from Funabashi to Chiba-shi, rather
than someplace else to Funabashi within Chiba Pref.), there are ways of
handling the innocent mistake that are polite (such as politely
pointing out the mistake or ignoring it) and there are ways of handling
it that are impolite. Further out in that direction is being a ***,
and IMHO the answer given was in that general area.
