because i can't stay away



i love you guys so much, apparently, that i've stopped being able to
make any sense out of any japanese. (-_-) here's my questions, from
YOU's blog as usual:

1) またまた友人に頂きました・・・。
なんか最近まわりが協力的?で助かります(笑)

the first sentence is fine (about the only one...) but the second isn't
making any sense to me. it's probably one of those things where when i
have it explained to me, i'll think, oh yeah, DUH, but at the moment,
i'm like, what? firstly, i think i'm confused as to what まわり
refers to exactly. and secondly, i'm definitely confused about how
something could be rescued by cooperation...

2) まあ、最初見た時はショックでしたねえ、
なんだこの変な宇宙人は?みたいな(汗)
でも、なんだか下ぶくれで憎めない顔つきですね(笑)
妙に癒されます・・・。

the first two lines are fine, it's that third one. what is
下ぶくれで?

3) たらこちゃんといい、おでんくんといい、
こうやってキャラクターを通じて世の中の
ことがわかるなんておもしろいですね。
なにせ筋金入りのヒキコモリストですから。

actually, i think i get the gist of this paragraph, i'm just wondering
about that といい construction. what specificially does that mean?

4)
今度うわさのキ◯◯ランドにでも行ってみようかな・・・。
あの大根に会いに・・・(笑)

what on earth is キ◯◯ランド? some kind of amusement park? a
grocery store? google wasn't very helpful.

well, christ, that's like his entire entry. nothing like feeling
stupid... (-_-)
