believe the second and fourth characters might be "N." There
just isn't enough definition to be sure, nor (for me) to identify
the first and third.

It looked to me something like *RAN. At any rate, I see four characters
there, so I discarded the possibility of it being the
Mandarin/Cantonese readings for the character.
