This seems odd to me, I've never heard "OK desu" being used like this by
Japanese people.
Thanks to the Ibaraki Broadcasting System's show by that name, "OKです" is
used in a wide variety of ways. I've heard it used in a manner consistent
with the above. Here's the Wikipedia info on the radio show:
