幕末機関説 いろはにほへと is an anime set around the Meiji Restoration.
It has older
language and historical terms that make it interesting from a language
learning standpoint. As is the common practice with anime, the voice
actors enunciate very clearly. Accordinly, it is easier to pick up words
and phrases than with live action period dramas where the actors speak
less
distinctly (but probably more naturally).

The song is not fast at all. I provided a link to the official site where
a full version of the song is provided (with video of the singer
performing
it). It is quite poetic (otherwise I would not have chosen it for
translation). The music relies on both traditional and modern
instruments.

OK. After Noto enka, I would like to see your translations.
Or, maybe we can cope with two things at a time
I may not be able to record my vocal sample, though.
If you insist, however, I may try to look for some MIDI or karaoke
arrangement
for my trial to see if I can.

The CD has an instrumental version. It has vocals but they're subdued. I
think this version would work for karaoke. I can e-mail an MP3 version of
it if you need it.
