The Multiradical Selection is the most popular kanji lookup technique

Do you analyze performance metrics on the different lookup types?

I did a couple of years ago for a paper I wrote. The metrics are turned
off at present.

If so, is that why multiradical kanji gets its own link?

No. I added the Multiradical Selection some months after the
ordinary kanji-lookup, so it seemed like a good idea to give it
an access path of its own. This was ca. 1998.

Could it be then that multiradical kanji lookup is most popular because
it's the easiest lookup method to get to? I like it as a lookup method
myself. But I also know that one of the reasons I use it is because I have
it as a direct bookmark. I'm not suggesting you change anything. Just
curious. I like things as they are. Last thing we want is for WWWJDIC to
get a Microsoft stigma. (笑)

Also, does it affect any
of the other ergonomic features. My favorite look up is the SKIP code. I
used to have to scroll down to get it. Now, it's about half-way down the
selection type window when I click on it. Is that because you've done
something or because I changed my setup?

I don't think I've re-ordered that list for many years. I could
move the SKIP option closer to the reading one, which is currently
selected. Again I don't want to fiddle too much with things people
are used to (obviously I don't work for Microsoft.)

I certainly would not want you to reorganize based on my preferences.
Besides, I do things automatically. So, if you changed something to make
it more convenient, it would just make me have to relearn the mechanics.
