OK,

First - Thanks Dave. You read my like a book - which is what I would
hope would be rather like common sense.

2nd - I do have some Japanese friends - but to ask them would be like
just asking my wife - of course the "word" would get back to my wife.
But this way, it is the most anonymous way I can think of to present
this dilemma. I do appreciate all of your indulgence on this issue.
