Ok, I've got the Thunderbird thing, which is what I'm sending this
with. There's gibberish in the above post as I look at it.
Anyway, I'll try this for a while and see how it goes.

I did a Google search on Unison + Base64 ...
====
MIME support is either poor or completely missing. Take this article.
It’s base64 encoded fill-flowed text. Rather than showing useful
content, Unison displays the base64 text. In essence, it’s unreadable.
This is at the extreme end of irritating, but there are less serious
problems that probably have the same root. For example, if an article
has both a plain text and HTML version (multipart/alternative, say),
then both parts are shown, but as plain text.

What's your version? I found the following (rather ambiguous) comment
in the Unison 1.7.2 release notes ...

"Unison can now decode certain base64 encoded messages properly"

_certain_ base64 encoded messages, huh. ^ ^;

Anyway it doesn't really look like a newsreader I'd want to pay money
for.

Grrrrr. I've got Unison 1.7.6. But I'll be using Thunderbird until it
gives me a reason not to.
