Incidentally I'm a little disappointed at the number of people contributing
Edict entries. I'm sure there must be more than four people who regularly
Edict, often come across words/meanings not in there and have the
ability to put together a submission.

I think a reasonable aim* would be to have about twice as many entries in
Edict as there are now (which would bring it close to the range of 国語
dictionaries like 大辞林 and 広辞苑). At the current rate that's going to
take about a decade.

OTOH, while there is just one editor (me) I don't really want a lot
more new entries right now. We are getting close to having an online
editing system with multiple editors, and you can start flooding them in
then.
