Nobody ain't mentioned yet (perhaps taking it as implicit) that in such
texts anything that would be ゃ, ゅ, or ょ in most writing nowadays will
be や, ゆ, and よ instead, too.

That's right. In fact Japanese Laws have been written with
や、ゆ、よ (拗音の大書き) and つ (促音の大書き) until the end of
1988 (昭和63年!).
