I am looking for some help with some Kanji symbols. I am interested
in getting a tattoo(s) of the Kanji symbols good and evil. One for
each shoulder on my back. Similar to the conscience in american
culture. the good on one shoulder and the evil over the other. well
with the research ive done, i have 4 symbols, but dont know which ones
correctly represent the idea i am trying to get across.
zen - is good/right from my research
yoi - is good/right from my research
aku - is evil
warui - is wrong
Any help would be much appreciated. Also any additional information
about the symbols meanings and language would be GREATLY appreciated.
The most appropriate kanji are:
- zen - Good, goodness, virtue, good deed(s)
- aku - Evil, badness, wrong-doing, vice
Together (zenaku) means good and evil, right and wrong, or virtue and
vice. (zenaku no ninshiki) is the Christian concept of the knowledge
of good and evil.
If you write them side by side, the (zen - good) should be on the left
and the (aku - evil) should be on the right. If you change your mind and
want to write them vertically, the zen should be on the top and the aku on
the bottom.

Thank you Very MUCH. I intend to put the good on my left back
shoulder and the evil on my right back shoulder. so side by side.
is the stroke order critical at all from a spiritual standpoint.
and do you have a high quality copy of both symbols?
