Re: Kanji, Katakana, and Hiragana are different LANGUAGES.

First show us your definition of what a "language" is.
Probably your definition differs widely from anyone's,
with whom you communicate with, on sci.lang and here on
sci.lang.japan. I don't under stand your point just becasue
I don't know what you mean with "different LANGUAGES".

For me, Kanji, Katakana, and Hiragana are all just characters
to write, none of them is a language.
There is no point to "argue" with you on this.

muchan (a native Japanese)

Well, I didn't want to give a definition of language kind of on
purpose.
The reasoning for this is frankly because I *know* I am right.
It's hard to communicate stuff that you know in your bones is right on
irc though.
Muchan if yu are native Japanese are you able to understand why I say
katakana is a pictographic language of manga?
This seems very simple to comprehend.

Anyway, try to look at it like this.
I am looking DEEPER into the language than Japanese.
At the level I am analyzing these 3 "scripts," the word "Japanese
should not even apply.
Japanese should be broader scope than the level I am analyzing.
I have aimed to prove what I said, and I am pretty sure I have.

This whole stuff about "scripts" and everything is seriously WEAK.
It sounds like something language majors would say and not Japanese
majors or Japanese citizens.

How about this, can you all remove the word "Japanese" from your
brains for a second.
Japanese is a combination of the three things I have described.

Go DEEP. DEEP ZEN HERE. THINK PEOPLE THINK!
