among the two choices I'd say "not" is more likely. Another
possibility is that it might be a translation from English or some
other language that attempts to render the joke straight into
Japanese. It's a standard joke in English but as far as i know, this
kind of humor is not exactly Japanese people's strongest suit. That's
my take on it.

When I was a kid, one of my brothers had a huge eraser, on which was
written, in large letters, "I never make BIG misteaks". "Misteak" is,
of course, a misspelling of "mistake", so the whole thing was ironic.

some are not." is supposed to be "Many words are pronounced according
to the spelling but some are knot." and it's very funny?
