much like my friend who's in psych residency. always gets the
crazies trying to hit her (yep, hit, not hit on). good thing she's got
crutches to keep them away before the orderlies come to help her out.

How about a stan gun? Some looks like a cell phone.

that said, a lot of it is understandable. they're in a poor
position, poor quality of life, maybe even poor mental health, and it
sucks being in a bed all day long.

They don't want to get better. Once they got a control over nurses or
other health care providers, they will keep nagging until they die.
One day at last, they think they can die, but the all the medical
staff will resuscitate the dying heart to come back to life. The
brain might have missed some O2 and gotten partially damaged. They
might have some rib fractures for the chest compressions. If they
cannot eat from the mouth, a nasal tube will be inserted from the
nose. If they cannot urinate, a urinary catheter will be inserted
into the urethra to the urinary bladder. If the kidneys stopped
producing urine, they are sent to dialysis. For cancer patients,
chemotherapy and radiation therapy seem to be torture rather than
therapies. Spine surgery patients become regular / return customers.
Many 20's females have had a hysterectomy or tubal legation. People
love hospitals; people love surgeries. I just want to say "Good luck"
to everybody who goes to hospital.

but one thing is true - get out of the field before you breakdown, if
that's ever a thought. lots of other things you can do w/o having to
deal with patients....

If you work in the OR (operating room), patients are totally naked and
sleeping.
