Minna-de, Minna-to

Is there any significant difference between みんなで and みんなと? "みんなと一緒に" and "みんなで一緒に" get roughly the same number of hits on Google.

If I had to guess, I'd say minna-de meant "together", while minna-to meant "with everyone else".
