Ok I'm looking for some suggestions/information

Typically in high school one reads a few classic books. In the U.S.
it's often:
Moby ***
The Scarlet Letter
To Kill a Mockingbird
Oliver Twist
&c.

In the last few years of compulsory education in Japan what classics
do they assign?
