Hi all,
I find myself blocked and need some help. Here's the English version
of the sentence I'm trying to write:
... (he) said (he) wanted to buy a new umbrella.
so far, only way I've found is:
あたらしいかさおかいたいといいました
atarashii kasa o kaitai to iimashita
So, is there a way to say "want to do something" + indirect speech?
I'd be interested to know what the native speakers have to say. But my
guess:
新しい傘を買いたいそうです。
あたらしい かざ を かいたい そう です。
