I just got it to appear first in the list, first try. Did you do some fixing?

I don't know how to check "the strokes in the list," but I do it (after /, _, /, \) as /, L, /, ^, ^. Is that the way you do it?

But that's wrong. I forgot--it's the top middle tic, then the /, then the L, and then the left-hand and right-hand ticks.
