Only according to Herodotus, who is capable of making mistakes and may
have misunderstood the word "bâgayâdish" (the name of a month) and may
have interpreted it as "killing the Magians". An error like this would
not be without parallel. Herodotus calls one of the Magians Patizeithes,
which is not a name but a court title (Patikhshayathya, "vizir").
