AND HERE COMES GUY-THE-CLOWN, Ladies and Gentlemen, with his clowny
remarks !...

Why DID YOU SNIP the preceding paragraph, saying THAT ANY SCRIPT IS A
COMPROMISE between PHONETIC ACCURACY and SIMPLICITY ?....
The "GENERAL RULE " (b) is HISTORICAL. It concerns THE GENERAL
TENDENCY. Have you ever heard about "LONG TERM VARIATIONS" and "SHORT
TERM VARIATIONS" ?.. Concerning the Stock Exchange, for instance
?...
The "LONG TERM VARIATION" is the (b)-Historical LAW : Script EVOLVED
from IDEOGRAMS to SYLLABIC, and from SYLLABIC to ALPHABET.
The EXAMPLES you quoted hereafter CONCERN some "SHORT TERM EVOLUTIONS"
. ONLY a CLOWN would consider them as CONTRADICTING the "Long term
tendency" !... It's like saying from a Stock-share which has increased
by 250% in one year : "Yes, but during the 2d week of March, it went
down of 10%" !!!!!!

AND HERE YOU GO AGAIN with your neglecting of the (a)- PARAGRAPH !...
THE scribe APPLIED the "SIMPLICITY-rule" : He PUT an -S WHERE IT WAS
NEEDED to AVOID a MISUNDERSTANDING. He DID NOT, WHEN there was NO
PÖSSIBILITY of a MISUNDERSTANDING.
AS simple as that !...
And let me now show HOW the Proto-Ionic decipherment EXPLAINS another
one of the EPIGRAPHICAL ANOMALIES. The question is : "WHY, in a few
cases, for instance in A8, the scribe ADDED a -S sign ?"...
Here is the ANSWER for A8 : It can still be seen that after printing
the first Sign (= the "crested head"), the scribe PRINTED the "woman",
then OBLITERATED it and REPLACED it by the "shield" , i.e the S-sign.
And here is the EXPLANATION given by the Proto-Ionic Solution :
The scribe wanted to write : <Kas dasyo... > . He BEGAN by OMITTING
the final -S of KAS, and wrote : KA(s)-DA-. But he NOTICED that the
READING WAS THEREFORE AMBIGUOUS, because one could read <KATA... > .
Applying then the rule of PUTTING an S *IF* such a thing is NEEDED to
AVOID a MISUNDERSTANDING, he obliterated the "woman" (TA-syllable) and
REPLACED it by the "Shield" (S-sign). Then, he printed the "woman"...
I suppose that Mr Guy-the-clown will be able to show that ANOTHER
UNPROVED deciphering attempt of his choice is also ABLE to give such a
LOGICAL EXPLANATION to the hereabove EPIGRAPHICAL FACT!... We are
all waiting !...
