Ok, is that going to be useful to me (I am not really after
'Literatary' Arabic and wondered if that was 'Classical')?

I am trying to learn to speak Standard Arabic (also Iraqi
dialect) well enough to engage in daily life and to understand
Al Jazeera (news and documentaries).

Eight months so far, and I am surprised how much harder it is that
I thought at first, but progress is steady.
