Citations for the claim that "....geographical placenames have a
tendency to persist over the centuries and even over the millenia."
???
Why in God's name would you need a citation in support of a statement
that is simply common sense....
and what sort of "anthropolgist and historian" would challenge a
statement like that ???
There must be at least a million examples of placenames that have
endured over the centuries and even over the millenia...
Surely we dont have to give examples do we???
