I hope you understand that I speak from sci.lang, normally a pretty
civilized and interesting newsgroup.
I guess I could have said "perversely", "paradoxically" or something
else, even "falsely".
Do you really feel that "US-American" anything bears complete
responsibility for the legions of Russian, Lithuanian, Turkish, Indian,
Chinese, Korean and many other chauvinists and racists, not to mention
garden-variety anti-Semites, that we find inhabiting these groups? I
suppose American-led technology has given them a place to play, but it
hardly taught them how.
