Wrong. I was describing a sound made by sticking the
tip of your tongue straight up between your upper
teeth and the inside of your upper lip.
I know of no language that makes use of it,
but I know of one language where you touch
your upper lip with the tip of your tongue
(the language of Mafea Island, Vanuatu),
and of several where you stick your tongue
out, held between both lips (many languages
of Malakula Island, Vanuatu again, and one
language of Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu again).
The word apico-labial has been coined for the
former, interlabial for the latter.
