Did you manage to miss "Indo-Pacific"?
That was G's proposal that disappeared with nary a trace, to unite all
of NAN PNG plus Tasmanian and Andamanese.
(The less one knows about something, the easier it is to include it in
generalizations -- which is why the African languages are excluded from
the earlier generalization.)
