That's why you find in German books of American authors "übersetzt aus
dem Amerikanischen von ..." (translated from the American by ...).

You never find translations from the Brazilian, Canadian, Australian,
Belgian, nor do you find translation into Austrian, Swiss, or
Liechtensteinian.
