they are not attested by the writting sysytem, but there are educated
based on Coptic. there are also some ancient egyptian words rendered in
languages like gree, which give us some clues as to the old vowels.

Coptic is a direct descendant of Ancient Egyptian anmd is still in use as
a church language.
