I read your post with great interest...but I'm more intersested
in the perception... I did a lot of ancient history in research
and find that divergence between art and scripts developed about
the same time. Earlier than this could there have been a script or
method of communication developed to convey the knowledge of the
passage of time(seasons/times/etc?) Reading another post I surmise
that a relence upon a script for purposes of communication demands
that the reader/observer 'projects' themselves into an imaginary
reality...(this is the risk I suppose of research!!! :) )
