Just a quick correction: while there is an -ér/-ár suffix in
Hungarian, it does not mean "collection of", but rather "a person
doing", just like the English "-er" suffix: Hu:"hordár" - a person
carrying things - E:"porter".
"szótár" is a compound word: "szó-tár", where "tár" is an
unsuffixed root meaning "store (v)"/"storage (n)"
