"Sherlock" was apparently the name of a cricket player but I don't know
whether it was his first or last name. I wonder if it's derived from
Shylock.
Some British people have last names that are not connected with a dash,
like Conan Doyle or Alan Nunn May, or Andrew Loog Oldham, the Rolling
Stones producer. Anything interesting to say?
