"Ever" seems similar to "at any time". Your example ad sounds perfectly normal, to me.

I'm no native, but I can't imagine other way to write it. I suppose 'It's the best selection we have ever had' is an ellipsis.

It does seem slightly stilted to me, though, and I would prefer ``It's
