I pronounce them as English words. If you put your stress-mark _after_
the stressed syllable, dictionary-wise, then you have them correct; if
you put it _before_ the stressed syllable, phonetician-wise, then you're

I put the stress mark after the stressed syllable, so I had it right. I pronounce the vowels as in Spanish. abjad, not æbjæd.
