If the study by Y. Duhoux of the Eteo-Cretan is excellent, his
comparison of the Eteo-Cretan language with a (supposed) "Linear
A-language" is based upon a "structural statistical analysis" without
real value.
So, the only valid point which can be accepted from Y.Duhoux' work is
the conclusion of his book "L'Etéocrétois" : "L'indoeuropéen
présente une parenté typologique indéniable avec l'étéocrétois"
(= "there is an undeniable relationship between Eteo-Cretan and
Indoeuropean").
As the Eteo-Cretan inscriptions have been found inside the Eastern
Crete, there is a good chance that this language was the original
language in this part of Crete. As for the "Linear A-language", it has
never existed, the Linear A script having been used by diverses people,
as I said in a preceding post.
Nota : All these points have now found an explication with the
publication of the last J.Faucounau's book "Les Origines Grecques à
l'Age de Bronze".
