Sinophone? Nipponophones?!!!

"Sinophone" is pretty standard; "Nipponophone" looks weird because it
puts a non-Greek (or -Latin) root together with a Greek one. If we knew
the Classical Greek (or Latin) word for Japan, we might be able to
create a less jarring term.

Well, "sin" in "Sinophone" isn't really a Classical Greek or Latin root either, is it? At least not an original one.
