Esperanto-type courses for Spanish.

I once was reading about Esperanto and found a really cool site that
offered full-out email correspondence classes with a personal tutor and
everything for free! It was cool because you read the lessons from the
tutorial and then you were done, you were given sentences after which
you sent to your tutor's email with any questions you might have. Now
in my researching of free and easy Spanish lessons, it seems that I can
find nothing more than tutorials on the Internet but there isn't
anything to exercise what the tutorials give me. No nice little quizzes
at the end or tutors to ask questions. Are there any courses on the
Internet or anything that are free as the above. Or at least a site I
can go or something I can do to apply what I learn from Spansih
tutorials? Obviously learning a language requires a great deal of
memorization, a feat I've never been the greatest at. So that's why I
need as much application exercises as possible so I can remember
everything, otherwise it falls out of my head once I leave the room.
This is the best tutorial I've found:

Unfortunately, it's extremely overwhelming in even the first section
because it never stops to let you apply what you've learned. Does
anybody know anything I can do alongside this tut?
