Yes folks, I know I'm arguing with a dummy, but this was a senseless
thread to begin with. The real mystery is what Scaff (who has removed
the one or two posts under his own name from the archive) thinks he is
doing in this multivocal presentation of the irrelevant, the fraudulent
and the merely stupid? Will it all appear, complete with our responses,
as a work of "digital performance art" on his website some day? One of
his ambitions is clearly to create electronic personae
indistinguishable from real people, but his efforts so far are so lame
that it seems almost cruel to mention it. Still, maybe it will inspire
him to work harder. I just hope he finds somewhere else to do it.
