"Skandinavia" is much less common than "Pohjoismaat" or "Pohjola" in
Finnish, and it's indeed mainly used about the Nordic countries except
Finland (whether it includes Iceland or not is usually not very
important so that's not very clear, for some reason even both
Nykysuomen sanakirja and Suomen kielen perussanakirja want to include
Iceland, I suppose this could be a result of something of a mental
search-replace from the time Iceland became independent). And of
course in sloppy translations from English.

("Skandinavia" isn't used all that much in the geographical sense
either, the more relevant "Fennoskandia" on the other hand is
ubiquitous in weather reports.)
