1. De Gruyter's typesetting is very often crap. And they often demand
CRC.

2. Some people don't have access to university libraries, even
second-rate ones.
3. E. J. Brill's "directors" insist on a FIFTEEN PERCENT profit after
taxes. (That was the Dutch linguistics publisher I referred to.) They
make John Benjamins's prices look almost acceptable.
