A technical correction to your terminology: it looks like you *didn't* cross-post this, because a cross-post involves sending a single message to multiple newsgroups in one send operation. The Newsgroups header on your message only shows sci.lang. So you must have sent your message to other newsgroups separately. That's "multiposting". Crossposting is preferrable when you're sending identical messages to different newsgroups.
