Maybe you can't invert do/be or assertive/nonassertive conjunctions.

I guess that's the best form, but poses two questions rather than
a single question about the conjunction.

Is it true that your family feels overwhelmed and you're not sure where to turn?

You could go for the opposite and use Demorgan's law I guess.
