Re: 47 in every language

Hello,

nice collection :-)

How about Plattdüütsch (Low German)?

47 "op Platt" would be "söbenunveertig"
(although there might be slight differences between the several North-German
regions...)

Information about Low German under:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plattdeutsch
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low_German
and a dictionary:
http://stade-buxtehude.de/platt/

Regards
Martin (born in rural Schleswig-Holstein and at least understanding Low
German)

Greetings!
I'm not new to the list, but this is my first post in about 2 or 3
years, now. So, hello again!
I somehow feel the need to say sorry for posting one of these "What
does ... mean in all languages?" posts, but I've been collecting this
one for years and only now I came up with the idea of asking here.
Currently I have more than 450 translations which I actually consider
pretty much. :)

I am collecting the translation for the number 47 ("forty-seven") in
as many languages as possible. The reason I chose this number and not,
say, 42, is that I am more a fan of Star Trek then of the Douglas
Adams. Well, there's more to it, but I don't want to bore you.

I have put up my collection in my LiveJournal at
http://n-true.livejournal.com/273399.html and I'm updating it
constantly. I also keep a version in Excel where I include the IPA
transcriptions for the words.

Please have a look at the link and tell me if you have a language to
add or if you see a mistake that you can correct. You can reply here
or in my LJ in a comment.

I might add that I'm especially unsure about the translation in Uzbek,
Classical Greek, Aramaic and the two Sothos. And I'm lacking
Singhalese and some Sámi languages as well. ;)

Thank you in advance,
- André
