Oh boy, and I thought it was one of the obviousest thing in the world.
Of course you could just Google for keywords like (Argentine Spanish
"Italian Accent") or (Paulista Portuguese "Italian Accent"), but you
shouldn't have to once you hear an Argentine person speak. :)

The same accent is observed in Paulista Portuguese, though a tiny bit
milder. I guess the main characteristic of the "Italian accent" is the
elongation in the stressed syllables with a mid-high falling pitch
contour, followed by a short final syllable with a low-leveled pitch.

You can even notice this in Tango songs. Like Gardel's "El día que me
quie-eras, ...."

Or even just from the pitch contour of the word "Che", which almost
sounds like "Che-eh".
