In some Germanic langs (esp German, Dutch, Yiddish), drei is the word
for "three".
Early clocks and watches were exported from Germany and then
Switzerland.
Clocks with chimes/bells usually rang on the hour and half-hour.
Were any manufactured that rang on the third of an hour?
Arabic daraja may be cognate with Hebrew dalet-resh-khaf = way, route,
path, passage.
The Hebrew verb LiDRoKH means to tread, to step.
Tread is a near-homonym of triad = a group of three.
