Divehi and Marathi

I stumbled upon this article on Dhivehi on wikipedia

The article says---It is official language of Maldives and is thought
to be decendent of Maharashtri. Maharashtri is also the ancestor of
Marathi, official language of Maharashtra.

Being a Marathi-language speaking person, I am very curious to know if
there are any similarities between Marathi and Divehi. Are they
similar? or Divehi was later influenced by Dravidian languages?
